Question 1

Can I send a 10 GB file on the Free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Free plan supports files up to 10 GB each. It also includes 5 GB of account storage and 3 transfers per month, making it suitable for occasional transfers within those limits.

Question 2

What is the maximum file size on the Pro plan?

Accepted Answer

The Pro plan supports files up to 250 GB each. It also includes 5 TB of account storage and unlimited transfers, making it suitable for workflows involving substantially larger files and frequent transfers.

Question 3

How much storage does each LargeFileTransfer plan include?

Accepted Answer

Free includes 5 GB of account storage, Plus includes 200 GB, and Pro includes 5 TB. Your storage allowance increases with each paid plan, giving regular users more room to keep transfer-related files available.

Question 4

How many transfers can I make with each plan?

Accepted Answer

Free includes 3 transfers per month, Plus includes 200 transfers per month, and Pro includes unlimited transfers. The right allowance depends on how frequently you send files rather than simply how large those files are.

Question 5

Does Plus have a larger file-size limit than Free?

Accepted Answer

No. Both Free and Plus support files up to 10 GB each. Plus increases the account storage and transfer allowance, and adds password protection and longer link availability for users who send files more regularly.

Question 6

Which plans include password protection?

Accepted Answer

Password protection is available with Plus and Pro. The Free plan does not include password protection, so users who need an additional access control for shared transfers need a paid plan.

Question 7

How long can my LargeFileTransfer links stay active?

Accepted Answer

Free links expire after 3 days. Plus and Pro allow links to remain available for up to one year or be set not to expire, giving paid-plan users more control over how long recipients can access a transfer.

Question 8

When should I upgrade from the Free plan?

Accepted Answer

Upgrade when the Free limits no longer fit your workflow. Plus adds storage, transfer capacity, password protection, and longer link availability, while Pro adds 250 GB per-file support, 5 TB storage, and unlimited transfers.
